O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles. Psalms 43:3

And as all have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith. D&C 88:118

The Wizard of Oz

"Oh, we're off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz..." E and I had the opportunity to go watch an incredible children's Theater performance of The Wizard of Oz. I don't think I have ever seen a play with such incredible special effects! During the tornado, they dropped a see-through screen and then projected on the back screen and the front screen the tornado. They also projected things flying through the tornado in perspective- like the cow, etc.

  1. I love it - so do you have a curriculum that you purchased for homeschooling?

  2. I loosely follow the book The Well Trained Mind. I use Susan Wise Bauer's book Story of the World as well as her First Language Lessons. The illuminations were from the Story of the World Activity book and the recitation was from the First Language Lessons (level 3).
