Tiger, Butterfly, and Pumpkin Pie are working on math using ALEKS. When Butterfly saw the pie chart of work to do, she asked if she could have her own personal mini-pie when she finished her pie chart. I agreed… Butterfly finished her pie completely. She spent 3.5 hours in one day working on math so she could finish it up. I am so proud of her hard work!
Tiger had about 30% more to do but in talking to his math mentor at Williamsburg, I was advised to enroll him in Algebra 1A and he could then finish up pre-Alg and then move forward in ALEKS. When he was first enrolled in ALEKS through WI, his math mentor put him in Algebra. When he took the initial assessment, he knew over 1/3 of the topics so we decided to just let him move forward.
Therefore, today was Pie Day for both Butterfly and Tiger…
Tiger wanted apple pie and Butterfly wanted cherry. Butterfly wanted to paint her pie to look like the pie she had completed in ALEKS.
Tiger just decided to eat his!
Everyone else shared some Marionberry pie.
